The classic collaboration between two of music’s biggest stars returns in newly restored 4K.

We were delighted to restore the original music video for Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson’s “Say Say Say” in 4K, bringing renewed detail, colour and clarity to one of the most memorable music videos of the 1980s.

Directed by Bob Giraldi, the film stars McCartney and Jackson as “Mac and Jack”, a pair of travelling confidence men whose questionable miracle tonic gives way to an elaborate musical performance. Its ambitious combination of comedy, choreography and cinematic storytelling helped make the video an enduring favourite.

More than four decades after its original release, the new restoration preserves the character and warmth of the original production while allowing its performances, period settings and beautifully staged sequences to be enjoyed in far greater detail.
